Just for you, shipping is free on lighting orders over $100 CAD before taxes within Canada. If your order is extra-large or extra-heavy (therefore extra-special), we will obtain a custom freight quote and be in touch with you to approve it before shipping. When shipping to the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut or remote locations, additional freight charges may apply. We will always contact you to confirm your approval before we send your goods on their journey home to you.
For orders under $100 CAD, we charge a flat $15 fee for shipping.
At this time, we are not able to ship internationally or to the USA. We apologize to our international friends!
We are not able to ship to a PO box address, unless Canada Post delivers directly to your location.
When you complete a purchase with True Light Co. (hooray!), we will automatically email you an Order Acknowledgement and our savvy ordering team will get to work on coordinating the details.
If we have inventory in our warehouse, your order will typically ship within 3 business days of receiving your order. When it ships, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation email that will include the estimated arrival date of your fixtures, along with your tracking number.
If we do not have inventory in our warehouse, lead times may vary. Once your order is processed, you will receive an Order Update email from our super shipping team with an ETA for your gorgeous goods. You will receive a Shipping Confirmation email with a tracking number once your order has left our warehouse.
Your precious goods will ship via the courier of our choice that is best suited to your shipment. This includes Canada Post, Fed Ex, Purolator, and local courier services.
Lead times for shipping are as follows:
3-7 business days for orders from our warehouse in sunny (but at times frigidly cold) Alberta, Canada.
For items that are not in stock, our splendid shipping team will reach out to notify you of the estimated delivery time.
Rush shipping is available for select fixtures, but each order will be assessed by our brilliant shipping team to confirm that we can meet your deadline.

We know that it can be tough to try on a light fixture with only photos and measurements online, which is why we are as flexible as we can be with returns & exchanges. If a fixture is calling your name but you have a few questions, you’re most welcome to call our superb support team:support@truelightco.ca. We can answer questions about finish, size, weight, scale, and even help you decide which bulbs to use in your space. We’ve experienced each of our True Light pieces in person, we have an eye for detail, and brains focused on function. We are here to make your shopping experience smooth and easy.
We do our very best to avoid restocking fees, but alas, in certain circumstances a restocking fee may apply to your return. We will charge a 25% restocking fee if an item is returned more than 30 days after receipt. If a fixture has been installed or altered in any way, if it is a “final sale” item or a custom-made piece, it is considered non-returnable. If you receive a fixture and don’t love it, let us know right away and we’ll help arrange to send it back. The product will need to be returned in its original packaging and be unaltered (please do not cut wires or remove any precious bits & pieces). Refunds will be processed toward your original payment method within 7 business days of receipt of your returned item.
If your dream fixture ends up to be less than dreamy, please contact us at support@truelightco.ca within 7 days of receiving your order. We will provide an RGA number (that stands for Return Goods Authorization :) as well as a return label and all the info needed to return your item.
After submitting your request for a return, we will contact you within 2 business days with details on the status of your request.
When sending back your item, please ensure you reference that very important fixture RGA number on the return label, so we can be ready with the right information to welcome it back! You’re welcome to ship the product back via any trackable method (FedEx, Purolator, Canada Post, etc).

WHEN RETURNING A FIXTURE, PLEASE CHECK THIS LIST TWICE:
• fixture should be returned to us within 30 days of receipt
• packed in original packaging to make a safe trip back to our warehouse
• in new condition with no damage or cut wires
• all parts and precious bits & pieces to be included in the original box
• return label including RGA number attached to the outside of the box
• your refund will be processed toward your original payment method within 7 days of receipt & inspection of your returned item.
*We wish we could take care of all of the costs to help you, but the shipping costs to return your fixtures are not covered by True Light Co.
True Light Co. shoots for the absolute highest standards with our fixtures and our service, but we admit, we aren’t perfect ALL the time. If the product you receive is defective, we will make it right, and we always stand behind our quality. Any product that has visible defects, broken parts or damaged internal components will be replaced as soon as possible.
Please note, natural materials such as alabaster may exhibit variations in texture, colour, and unique veining patterns. These characteristics are not indicative of a defect, rather they remind us that nature is perfectly imperfect, and we can admire the organic beauty of each individual piece.
We request that any damage or defects be reported within 7 days of receiving your fixtures, though we suggest opening up your treasures to inspect them thoroughly and reporting any issues as soon as possible. Please feel free to contact us at support@truelightco.ca for assistance with any concerns about your shipment.
When emailing our splendid support team, please be sure to provide the following:
1. Your name and order number
2. Name of the fixture or product code
3. Photos and description of the issue
If your fixture arrives damaged, please take photos of the box, packaging, and damage to your fixture.
If you require a replacement part, please pull out your handy installation manual, find & highligh the part you need, and send us a photo of the page in an email with your details. This will help find exactly the right solution most efficiently.
Once our support team determines the ideal solution, we will get to work on sending you replacement parts or a replacement fixture. We will advise you of the ETA of your shiny new piece, as well as if we require your original fixture to be returned to us.
If a fixture has been discontinued with no available stock remaining, we will offer you a credit of the value of your fixture to use toward a bright new fixture of your choice, or a refund back to your original payment method.
If a damaged or defective fixture needs to come back to us for inspection, we will issue you an RGA number along with a prepaid shipping label. Simply seal up the fixture in the original box, and drop it off to any Canada Post, Purolator, or Fedex Location with the prepaid return label attached.
If we determine a damaged or defective fixture does not need to be returned to us, we will advise that you can dispose of the fixture at your convenience.
True Light Co. will gladly cover the cost of shipping replacement parts or products to you if a fixture is damaged or defective. We will also take care of the cost of shipping any defective product back to our warehouse. We've got you covered!
All of our True Light fixtures carry a warranty of one year from the date of purchase.
Our bulbs are warrantied for three years from the date of purchase.
Our LED fixtures carry a warranty of five years from the date of purchase.
Our fixtures will be free of defects and will remain fully operational to light up your life … maybe even until you’re ready for your next style makeover.
*Although we’d love to come hang your fancy new fixtures for you for free, we do not cover labor costs associated with installation or replacement of any of our True Light fixtures.
